“O’ Tower”, de Timothy Walker
O’ TOWER
by Timothy Walker
O’ Tower, whose halls heard the voice of one tongue
And the hour when I could not understand
Like the Power that burned in the emperor’s bones
Now he cowers on those shores with no crown on his head
Could Saint Helena cure you of your caustic cause
And can we pull down what we’ve put up in the clouds
My skin is earth and my bones are made of sand
And now I am god with a rebel fury burning on my hands
I don’t belong to you
I don’t know what’s true
Pride sees not the vestige of your face in mine
He listens for no voices and watches for no signs
My eyes are fools, but my heart has heard the sound
Softly in the night, a ghost, with a blood-stained shroud
“Minha Cruz”, de Wolô
Jesus
Tua cruz
Foi pesada
´ Teu rosto
Exposto
Ao horror
Tua estrada
Foi dor
Sede arfante
Teu fel
Teu instante
Sem céu
Por amor
Foi meu ego
Que os pregos
Cravou
Mas teu cravo
Esse escravo
Livrou
E hoje lembro
Da dor
Que teu corpo sofreu
Para um membro
Do corpo ser eu.
Wolô
I Coríntios 13: Uma releitura
É ferida que dói e não se sente;
É um contentamento descontente;
É dor que desatina sem doer;
É solitário andar por entre a gente;
É nunca contentar-se de contente;
É cuidar que se ganha em se perder;
É servir a quem vence, o vencedor;
É ter com quem nos mata lealdade.
Nos corações humanos amizade,
Se tão contrário a si é o mesmo Amor?
“Quem tenho eu no céu além de Ti? E não há nada na terra o que eu deseje além de Ti.” Sl 73.25
None other hope in Heav’n or earth or sea,
None other hiding place from guilt and shame,
None beside Thee!
Only my heart’s desire cries out in me
By the deep thunder of its want and woe,
Cries out to Thee.
Love’s fire Thou art, however cold I be:
Nor Heav’n have I, nor place to lay my head,
Nor home, but Thee.”
